Three Things You Have To Do With Your Kids On The Fourth of July

Everybody loves birthdays, and our country’s birthday sure is a special one! It is a great day to spend time with the family, enjoy delicious food and watch fireworks. We have narrowed down these three things that every family should do on 4th of July:

Wear tricolor
This is the easiest thing to do, it is also something that sets the mood for the whole day. If you don’t want to spend money on clothes with the flag pattern for your kids, pick a simple white t-shirt, a pair of denim shorts and a red bandana that can be found in any drugstore.

Learn history
This holiday is a perfect occasion to tell your kids about the history of this holiday. What do the stars and stripes on the flag mean? What is the Declaration of Independence? Why did we need independence from the British? Show your kids some illustrations or chat along as you are putting the flag up.

Eat colorful food
Spend some fun time together as a family in the kitchen baking simple sugar cookies. Let your kids use their creativity to the fullest as you are decorating them. And if you want to avoid sugary treats, go for red, white, and blue fruits and vegetables.
